• Ibn Elas mosque which was the first mosque erected in Egypt this was after the Arab conquest directly
• The foundation of the mosque was in 642 A,D
• The building was very simple it was 29 meters long by 17 meters wide
• The mosque has passed through of ruin and destruction and has been repaired and restored many times
• AL Azhar Mosque
• Al Azhar Mosque established in 972 A,D after founding Cairo itself it was designed by the Fatimid leader Gawhar El Saquili and he built it by command of Calipha Al Muez Li Din Allah who belongs to Fattimid Family it is located in El Hussein Square an area teeming with Islamic monuments from 10 th century it was called Al Azhar related to Fatma Al Zahraa daughter of our prophet Mohammad
• SULTAN HASSAN MOSQUE
• Is unique in style and remarkable for its grand proportions and majestic beauty it is one of the most remarkable monuments in the Middle Ages the mosque was built by order of Sultan Hassan Ibn Nasser Mohammad Ibn kalawoun one of Turkish Mamluks who reigned Egypt he was only a baby 13 years old
• IBN TULUN MOSQUE
• Ahmed Ibn Tulun may be regarded as one of the most important in the history of the Muslim Egypt during his rule Egypt from being a province of the Abbassid khalifate became an independent state the mosque was built by order of Sultan Ahmed founder of the Tulunid dynasty 868 A,D
