The Cave Church, also known as the Monastery of St. Simon the Tanner, is a massive underground Coptic Christian church complex carved into the Mokattam mountains on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt. In recent years, a shopping mall has been built adjacent to the church, allowing visitors to easily access both the religious site and the commercial facilities.
